The Story Behind the Fan Magnets
Back during the original golden era of Moshi Monsters, Squidoopets created a series of handmade fan magnets inspired by the world of Monstro City — including the legendary Lady Goo Goo and an original fan-created hero known as Super Oddie. Super Oddie and Lady Goo Goo are the only ones in the collection to stick around over time.
More than a decade later, these magnets are still here as a tribute to the creativity, humor, and community spirit that made the original game unforgettable.
While Lady Goo Goo became one of the most iconic characters in Moshi Monsters history, Super Oddie was something completely new — a fan-created superhero version of Oddie imagined by squidoopets.

Who Is Super Oddie?
Super Oddie is a fan-created character imagined by Squidoopets as a superhero version of Oddie. Super Oddie is made of a rare Earth magnet and he really sticks! So much so that squidoopets’ husband has kept him in his toolbox and has used him all these years as a wall stud finder! Super Oddie is so great at his job, he’s really become worn looking!
Super Oddie represents the creative side of fandom — where fans continue expanding the world long after the original stories end.
Who is Lady Goo Goo Fan Magnet?
Lady Goo Goo was a collectible Moshling in the original Moshi Monsters game by completing the first Super Moshi Mission until she was replaced by Baby Rox.
In the current Moshi Online game, she can only be collected (at this time) randomly as a reward for completing a Monstro City Quest (the reward varies – you never know if you’ll get a random amount of ROX, XP or a random Moshling).
Her fan magnet self still lives on squidoopets’ fridge, though she’s joining Super Oddie in Fan Magnet Adventures and she hopes to be in the 2027 relaunch. squidoopets will be a player in the Alpha and Beta testing of the relaunch, so as soon as she gets the intel on Lady G – her fan magnet followers will be some of the first to know!
Still Sticking Around Since 2012
The original fan magnets were handmade during the peak popularity of Moshi Monsters in 2012.
Years later, after the original Flash-era game disappeared, the Moshi community never fully vanished. Fans continued preserving memories, artwork, characters, and collectibles – and even the game itself -while waiting for the world of Moshi Monsters to return.
Now, with excitement building around the planned 2027 Moshi Monsters relaunch, these fan magnets feel like tiny pieces of Monstro City history that never stopped sticking around.
The magnets may have been made in 2012 —
but they were always waiting for the comeback.
